Boys are rough and tumble. And when they hit those tween years, it gets tough to figure out just what to do with their rooms. (When you can find it underneath all the stuff!)
Ive gone with kind of a no-theme room here, even if I did give the whole thing a name. The industrial bed includes storage and those panels on the fronts of the drawers are interchangeable, so you could use different colors. Beyond that, build the room with small touches of whimsy and your sons taste. Can you tell what my kid is into? Weve got a touch of Star Wars with the Yoda clock, a video game rocker, skateboard shelf and poster and some fun animals. The choice of camo bedding allows the color scheme to be carried out in the accessories and details. Quite easy to keep the core pieces of this and use totally different accent colors. Or you could go with bright bedding and take your color cues from that.
Ive done a dark wall here with the camo green, but a cream would work just as well. (The hanger coat rack was invisible against it on the computer screen though! BTW, that rack would be great even if you never hung anything on it and comes in blue, pink and black as well.) I like dark bedrooms, but I know thats not idea for everyone. The skateboard shelf comes from Etsy and the guys who make them do them in all kinds of colors and patterns.
